ABSTRACT:
With the rapid growth of consturuction, conception in the 3D
feature is attainment more importance. 3D modeling and
visualization procedures helps in decisions making process to
recongnize
the
third
dimensional
features
in
cites.Devolopers,Urban Designers,Landscape Architects and
other planning professionals use electronics
visualizations
techniques to encourage the involvement of public in urban
planning.Aerial and satellite images can be used to produce 3D
models but can not give a realistic feel due to defieciency of
textures informations .The imperial of the study to built a 3D
model along with Texture information using presently available
software tools and to make it freely accessible for the public.
High resolution satellite data are useful for 3D mapping and
analysis. In the present study, field photographs and satellite
images are used to create 3D database of few iconic buildings in
Bangalore city. Satellite images are used to identify the
georeferenced foot-print of the buildings or features. The
conniving and creation of 3D database is carried out using
Sketch up software tools.

INTRODUCTION:
Virtual 3D modeling is a very important and hot topic for researchers of Geomatics. 3D city
models have evolved to important tools for urban decision processes and information system
especially in planning, simulation, networks, and navigation. Educational Institute or University
has its own campus. Campus is also an important indicator for the quality of Educational
Institute. Campus is a land of College, Institute or University, on which the buildings are
situated.
Usually campus includes the academic and non-academic buildings. Virtual 3D model of
campus gives a good and photo-realistic appearance. In Geomatics techniques, so many image
based techniques are available for 3D building modeling.
Close Range Photogrammetry is also a good tool to create Virtual 3D model of
Campus. But due to many drawbacks in these techniques, a new approach is possible to make
virtual 3D Campus. we are giving a simple and cheapest solution to create virtual 3D campus of
any educational institute. The 3D Campus models can be used for simulation and analysis from
visualization and animation
In this study, we used simple digital images and very cost effective SketchUp
software. So the need of this kind of study is very important and useful for 3D modeling
community.

METHODOLAGY

Autocad,Satelite data(main component sources)

Sketchup
3D modeling
3D mapping

ADVANTAGES:

This software is very simple and easy to use.

Less trained person can also make the 3D model by using this
software.
It is very cost effective solution to create 3D City model.
Dimensions of buildings can also be added.
External city elements can also be added.
