THE TYPES OF PACKAGING

MATERIALS

1. Blacu fabric : in general, packaging materials

used to pack ingredients food such as
tapioca in great shape 10-50 kg. The
advantages are, it's hard to torn, or strong
enough, flexible, easy to printed and cheap.
The weakness are it has a bad air circulation
and it's not waterproof.

2. Plastic : plastic has flexible and dynamic

characteristics ,but keep it strong. Some kind
of plastic materials usually to used as a main
materials of packaging are : polietilen,
cellophane, polivinilklorida (PVC),polyester
,polietilentereptalat (PET)

3. Metal : materials which is often to used is tin plate and aluminium.

Aluminium has a stiff character and strong enough to pack various
food products of liquid, oil and butter

Paper : paper used to pack something

who has a dry character and it not
contain changes in significant form,
for examples : coffee powder, sugar,
cheese, etc

1. Duplex : this type of paper,has

one white side and other is grey, in
general, it's used for note book
and especially for the
manufacturing of box packaging,
because it has a cheap price than
other materials

2. ivory paper is used for box or

packaging because that's it thick
and sturdy. For now food
packaging in restaurants have
used ivory paper as basic
packaging, this paper also has
more exclusive design.

3. art paper : used to print browser,

magazine, box or packaging because
they have two shiny side. Food
packaging in restaurants have used
art paper as basic food box.

4. Samson Kraft : materials paper

from the recycling have brown colour.
In general, used for paper box, paper
bag, and hangtag.

5. (karton ?) : this type it's thick,

usually used for frame on invitations,
souvenir box, ring box, this materials
gives the impression of sturdy and
strong

- corrugated : corrugated is
packaging of the box who made from
one or a few piece of kraft liner paper
from medium as the waves. It useful
for cake packaging.

the cleanliness of quality contain it's
product than traditional materials
