The Museum Maldaresti

The Museum Maldaresti was held in a pictures natural environment at about 3 kilometers from Horezu and
gathered together Greceanu, Duca and Memorial House I.G. Duca.

Monastery Bistrita
Bistrita Monastery, founded Craioveti boyars (Ban Craiovei Barbu and his brothers Prvu
vornicul, and Radu Danciu Armas postelnicul), was built between 1492-1494, is in the village of Bistrita
municipality Costesti Vlcea County, the picturesque valley of the river with the same name. The fact is
attested by a document of 16 March 1494 Vlad's Clugrul.

KEYS BISTRITA (HOREZU)
Bistritei keys. With a total length of 1.5 kilometers, are particularly spectacular, historically standing out
relief through the beauty and richness of flora and fauna.

Horezu Monastery
Located in Valcea County, at the foot of Capatanii Mountains, Horezu Monastery is considered to be the
most representative construction in the Brncovenesc style. The place of worship, with Saints Constantine
and Helena as its dedication day, was built between 1693 and 1697, during Constantin Brancoveanus
reign. Since 1993 it has been included in the UNESCO patrimony.
Among the historical monasteries, which impodobit earth Romanian monastery Hurezi is considered,
along with its hermitages, as the most representative complex architecture.

Arnota Monastery
Costesti commune, Valcea county.
Arnota Monastery, convent for nuns, was founded by Matei Basarab in 1634. Restored by Constantin
Brancoveanu (1705-1706) and then, in neo-gothic style under Barbu Stirbei (1852-1856). Here there is
the tomb of Matei Basarab and of the Mayor Danciu, his father.
Dedication day: The Holy Archangels Michael and Gabriel, 8 November.

ART MUSEUM OF COSTESTI

Art Museum of Costesti. In the center of Costesti in home building cultural works since 1970, a museum of
modern art, set up after donation curator Alexander Balint

Memorial exhibition Anton Pann

Monument of town architecture, built at the middle of the 18 th century with a porch and a cellar, this
museum-house present a memorial exhibition Anton Pann, which marks the stay in the Valcea County
between 1826-1828

Anton Pann Memorial House is a monument of urban architecture, built in the eighteenth century halfcentury, with kitchen and cellar.

MUSEUM TROVANTS
On entering the village from Ramnicu Valcea Costesti on the left side of the ND 67, at an altitude
of 620 m, are arranged in the open air museum Trovantilor. If you dont know much about geology (or
even if you do), the images featured below remind more of the works of Brncui And if you try to find
a definition of what they are online, you cannot really manage without guidance. These are trovants
or concretions a volume of sedimentary rock in which a mineral cement fills the porosity (i.e. the
spaces between the sediment grains).

ART MUSEUM
Museum of Art takes place in a house with a specific architectural structure built in 1940 by architects
George Simotta and Nicolae Lupu, both targeting neoromaneasca.

BUJORENI
The village museum has been outlined its topical profile since 1974, like a form of a village museum
destinated to reconstitute, on a 8 hectars area, the functional image of a traditional rural settlement with
all its social - cultural institutions.

HISTORY MUSEUM
History Museum of Valcea County is sheltered in the building of the former "School Clock", a building
representative for the city Ramnicul, the nineteenth century.

One of the most authentic ornaments of local church architecture, Cozia Monastery, lives and will
endure in the history of the Romanian people .

Govora Monastery
Monastery of nuns, with the "Assumption", Govora monastery is situated at the foot of the hill cart Mare,
on the radius of the Mihieti in Valcea county.

MONASTERY FRASINEI
The priests' life from here is just like the one from the Holly Mountain Athos. The most powerful
exorcizes from Romania take place at Frasinei Monastery in Valcea. In this Saint Monastery, women
don't have access.

TURNU MONASTERY
