This protection system consists of
following relays
1) RAGEK
2) RXTUG 22H
3) RXEDK 2H 0642
4) RXEDK 2H 0640
5) RXEG 21INRK411 102-DD
6) RXTDA1 1MYN 745025-A
7) RXMA1 INRK211 066-AN

RAGEK
Complete stator earth-fault protection for unearthed
or high impedance earthed generators

RAGEK 95%
Earth-fault protection covering 95% of the stator winding
Two stage measuring of filtered fundamental frequency neutral
point voltage
Each stage has delayed output with three make contacts and
red indicating flag
Dimension: 4U 24C

RAGEK 100%
Earth-fault protection covering 100% of the stator winding
Measures filtered fundamental frequency neutral point voltage
to protect 95% of the stator winding
Measures filtered third harmonic neutral point voltage to
protect 95-100% of the stator winding
1% generator third harmonic voltage enables full protection
Delayed outputs with three make contacts and red indicating
flag - the 95-100% function is supervised by generator voltage
or current
Dimension: 4U 42C

RXTUG 22H
RXTUG 22H is used for auxiliary voltage supply of electronic
relay circuits. It is suitable for use where up to 15 W
continuous output power is required, e.g. for the supply of
protective relays or other automation equipment.
The RXTUG 22 can be powered from any dc voltage source
24 V to 250 V. When redundant power supplies are needed,
parallel operated RXTUG 22H may be used with isolating
diodes e.g. RTXE.

RXEDK
It is Time over/undervoltage relay and protection assembly
It is single or multiple RXEDK 2H phase elements measuring
two-stage overvoltage or combined over and undervoltage
protection for system voltage supervision and various single
relay element neutral point or broken delta overvoltage
applications for earthfault detection.

RXEG 21

The instantaneous and time-lag delayed over and undervoltage assemblies

are used in a number of different applications such as
Neutral point voltage protection (Time delayed 1ph relay is used to detect
earth fault by detecting neutral point voltage on an open delta winding of
phase transformers)
Overvoltage protection (to detect failure in voltage regulation)
Flash-over protection
Automatic switching (Used at high resistance earthing with a Petersen
reactor for capacitive current compensation)
Undervoltage protection (To disconnect motor at low system voltage to
prevent problems with inrush at system voltage recovery)
Zero voltage automatics (A time delayed 3ph undervoltage unit is present
to open the CB at loss of voltage in all phases)

RXTDA1
The RXTDA 1 diode unit is used to provide a relay with either
a directional function or transient protection and delay on
dropout and for blocking in the control circuits.

RXMA1

This relay is designed for dc supply. Few variants of RXMA 1 is ac

operated with a valid frequency between 50-60 Hz and rated voltage of 115
or 230 V. A half-wave rectifier is built in, connected in parallel across the
coil.
RXMA 1 is a general purpose auxiliary relay having up to 7 contacts. Low
burden makes it suitable as an interposing relay in control equipment,
contact-multiplication, general signalling purposes and various
applications in protective relay assemblies and panels.
The contacts are of the bi-furcated twin contact design having two paths
for current in parallel which gives added contact making security.

This relay is used for the following protection
Definite time overcurrent (undercurrent) (optionally with inrush detection)
Instantaneous overcurrent (undercurrent)
Voltage-controlled overcurrent
Inverse time overcurrent
Directional overcurrent protection with definite or inverse time characteristic
Negative phase sequence current
Definite time overvoltage (undervoltage)

OVER CURRENT RALAY AND PROTECTIO N

This scheme consists of the following

relays
RXTUG 22H
RXIDK 2H 1MRK000 838-AA
RXPDK23H 1MRK000 844-EA

RXIDK 2H
RXIDK is a time-overcurrent relay
mainly used as short-circuit and
earth fault protection on all types of
objects in the network.

RXPDK23H
It is used for Directional Overcurrent
Protection.

RTXP18 (LOCAL BREAKER

BACKUP)
RTXP 18 contains a maximum of 18
contact units and occupies the space
of two seats in the COMBIFLEX
system with dimension of 4U and 6C.
A test switch may be used where
testing relays or instruments would
otherwise require manual
disconnection and shorting of the
instrument.
