Local manual from drive mechanism, by hand

cranking of 33 revolutions for one tap change
Local electrical from drive mechanism, by raise/lower
pushbuttons
Remote electrical ( desired position control) from
RTCC-manual / auto
Parallel operation
Raise/lower operations from SCADA

Points to check
Consider any one of the contacts ( Raiser/Lower)
will be energized
control voltage of circuit is 110v AC, derived from
mid point earthed control transformer.

PARALLEL OPERATION OF TRANSFORMERS WITH

ON-LOAD TAPCHANGER
The parallel scheme is prepared keeping in mind that
any one of the on-load tap changer is selected to the
master position and the other to the follower position.
any one transformer of the group can at a time be
selected as "Master", "Follower" or "Independent.
This is being done by selector switch SSS provided on
control cubicles for each transformer.
An out-of-step device shall be provided for each
transformer which shall be arranged to prevent
further tap changing when transformers in a group
operating in "Parallel control" are one tap out-of-step.

 Selecting Local/Remote switches CSS in remote

position one can press Master unit push button
RPB or LPB, for desired raise or lower operation, a
direct impulse for Raise or Lower goes to Master
unit OLTC.

 The 110 V PT supply to AVR of RTCC for provision

from Load side incomer breaker or Bus PT should
be mentioned, as up to 11kV the Incomer breaker
at Load side can be provided with PT.
