Atari

Attended meetings at Wozniaks Homebrew Computer Club

Steve convinced Wozniak, a electronic genius to work with him

and build computers.

Apple

Born on April 1st, 1976. First single board computer with built-in
video interface.

Steve and Wozniak main goal in the beginning was to design

computers that would not take up the whole room, like IBM
computers.

Apple II was what they came out with. Apple II hit the markets in
1977 and made $2.7 million sales.

Apple made history by earning 200 million in a 3 year period.

Jobs released Lisa, a personal computer in 1985. It did not sell

very well due to the price. This is where Jobs downfall started.

Jobs soon resigned Apple in 1985 due to another failure the

Macintosh. Macintosh was a computer that has icons and arrows
on the screen.

Apple (Logo)

In 1976,Ronald Wayne, who is the third cofounder of the Apple Company, designed its
first logo.

Then, a massive change. The famous

"rainbow apple" was designed to
reflectApple's tagline at the time ("Byte into
an Apple").

Supposedly the reason for the Apple logo

having a bite was so that people would not
confuse it for a cherry.

Since then the logo has gone through colour

changes, bringing us to the white or chrome
versions we see now.

Return to Apple

Since leaving Apple in 1985, Jobs started his own company called NeXT. It was a
disaster in the market because of its lack in technology.

Then he went to the animating company called Pixar. He made millions of dollars from
a Disney movie contract.

Apple was also doing horrible. Seeing the success of Jobs, the CEO of Apple at that
time, Gil Amelio decided to purchase NeXT operating system to replace the Mac OS.

Steve was back at Apple after 10 years under the title of informal adviser to the CEO.

In 1997, Apple lost $700 million in sales. The Apple board decided to fire Gil Amelio and
replace him with Steve.

Steve reorganized the company and released the iMac in 1998. The iMac was a huge
success. In 2001, the iPod was released by Apple which was their most successful
product and changed the face of the music industry.

Under the guidance of Jobs, Apple kept engineering products that were huge hits in the
market such as the iPod touch, iPhone, iPad, MacBook's and their powerful software

Fight with Cancer

In

October 2003, Jobs was diagnosed with pancreatic

cancer.

On

August 24, 2011, Jobs resigned his CEO position to

take care of his health. Tim Cook took his place as the
new CEO.
