When Kids Cant Read

When Kids Cant read is a book I would personally recommend to any teacher to
develop struggling readers. Not only is it informative but it is practical. This book
makes reading skills transparent and accessible to young adolescents

Lies My Teacher Told Me

This book is an eye opener to
anyone young or old in the field of
History. This book bridges the gap
between Historical opinions and
Historical facts. Not only does it
reveal the truth behind what we
have been taught academically but
it also show our children that they
dont have to hate history

Why these books?

The First Days of School

The book walks a teacher, either novice or veteran, through structuring and
organizing a classroom for success that can be applied at any time of the year at
any grade level, pre-K through college.

and affordable guide that provides
middle and secondary teachers the
proper tools they need to support
their students comprehension and
success in literacy and content area
learning

Why these books ?

Reading for Understanding

This book challenges teachers to remove the idea that its too late for students
and teachers to work together to boost literacy, engagement, and achievement.

Its not complicated

This book provides guidance for
teachers, administrators, and
parents how to best serve the
literacy needs of students of color.

Why these books ?

Teaching what really happened
This book breaks the silence of History and challenges us as teachers and
students to change our perspective about what really occurred in History. It
removes the myth behind what we have learned and engages what we should
be taught.

For white Folks who teach in the

Hood

description of urban schools
through his multiple lens as an
urban educator and more
