Standardization of NaOH
Preparation of primary standard(H2C2O4)
Preparation of secondary standard(NaOH)
Burette is filled with NaOH
Known volume of H2C204 is transferred to
conical flask , followed by addition of
distilled water and indicator.
Conical flask content is titrated against
NaOH until appearance of faint pink colour.

Known volume of sample is


transferred to conical flask and
distilled water and indicator are
added.
Sample is titrated against
standardized NaOH until appearance
of pink colour.

Standardization of KMnO4

Preparation of primary standard(H2C2O4)


Preparation of secondary standard(KMnO4)
Burette is filled with KMnO4
Known volume of H2C2O4 is taken in conical
flask , addition of distilled water and about
10ml of dilute H2SO4 solution are added.
Content of flask is heated upto 700C
Titration is performed until appearance of
faint pink colour.
