Here are some examples of CAM machines:
Cutting machine, sewing machine,
embroidery & knitting machine, fabric
printers, plotters/cutters, pressing
machines.
What are the advantages of CAM?
What are the disadvantages of CAM?
Which CAM machines would you use if you
had to make 1000 phone cases identically?
CAD
What does CAD stand for?
Designers use computers to: Create displays ,
supplement drawing by hand, create slide shows,
digital photography, video making, sampling and
designing.
What programs could you use to do the above tasks?
Use a computer programme to recreate the line drawing of a
cushion. Copy the design 3 times and fill in the colour,
making 3 different colour ways. Which colourway is most
effective and why?
