Direct Method

Direct method receives its name from the fact that

meaning is to be conveyed directly in the target
language through the use of demonstration and
visual aids.

RULES : no translation is allowed

 Yes.

This is because students understood &

acquire a language faster when they
frequently in contact with thr language.
If translation is allowed, students would
use the alternate language instead of
the target language. No effort is made
to use the language.
O Mother tongue can be used when
there is any topic regarding culture
and society in class.

O For eg : students can share how is

the phrase "how are you?" said in
their respective mother tongue.

O Mother tongue can also be used

during sivic lesson, where they learn
about multicultures in the country.
 When learning grammar in target
language [english].

This is because different language

will have different grammar rules.
This may cause confusion in young
learners.
