presentation?

Remember your audience

Make presentation relevant to audience


Think about following questions
Who am I addressing?
What do I have to say?
What do I want my audience to know?
What would my audience want to
know?
Organize the information

Outline the presentation (problem-cause-


solution; chronological; )
Beginning: context of presentation
Body: develop main points.
Conclusion: summarize main points, take
home message.
Use visuals effectively

A clear heading in each slide


1 slide/minute
Slide 1: title, event, date, name and
position
Slide 2: the attention seeker
Slide 3: structure of presentation
25-35 words per slide
Communicate with body language

Stand squarely on both feet and keep


hands still.
Do not turn your back on the audience.
Use eye contact.
Do not hide behind computer
Deliver your message

Speak slowly and clearly.


Vary the tone of your voice
Try not to say so, ummm or other time
fillers too much.
Prepare thoroughly

Practice on your own (get timing right)


Make notes of key points and use those
during presentation.
Dont read a script, or always look at the
screen.
