Serious consequences come to

those who refuse to listen to God.

Daniel 9:14
14TheLORDdid not hesitate to bring the disasteron us, for theLORDour

God is righteous in everything he does;yet we have not obeyed him.

God called Moses to return to Egypt to
set His people free.
Abraham to become a great nation.
God ALWAYS keeps His promises.
Israelites in Egypt were made slaves by
Pharaoh
God wanted to save His people, so He
told Moses to go before Pharaoh and tell
him to Let My people go.
The first time Moses went to Pharaoh, and asked him to set the Israelites free, Pharaoh said NO.

Then Pharaoh made the slaves work even harder.

The people complained against Moses, and he became discouraged.

Application:We all get discouraged sometimes. When you are
discouraged, take your cares to the Lord. Read through His promises
and listen to His voice. His words will always encourage you.
You shall speak all that I command
you, and your brother Aaron shall
speak to Pharaoh that he let the sons
of Israel go out of his land. But I will
harden Pharaohs heart that I may
multiply My signs and My wonders in
the land of Egypt. When Pharaoh does
not listen to you, then I will lay My
hand on Egypt and bring out My hosts,
My people the sons of Israel, from the
land of Egypt by great judgments. And
the Egyptians shall know that I am the
Lord, when I stretch out My hand on
Egypt and bring out the sons of Israel
Because Pharaoh would not listen to
God through Moses, God sent plagues.
The ten plagues of Egypt were

blood *boils
frogs hail
gnats and lice locusts
flies **darkness and the
death of the firstborn
diseased livestock
*It was at this point that God hardened Pharaohs heart. Pharaoh had deliberately chosen a life
of resisting God. He promised to let the people go, and then went back on his word. His
repentance was not real.
Lesson: We damage others and ourselves when we pretend to change but dont mean it.

When God sent this plague of
darkness, He was showing the
Egyptians that He was the all-
powerful God. Why?
God gave Pharaoh and all the
Egyptian people many opportunities
to listen to Him and to obey His word
(2 Peter 3:9)
9The Lord is not slow in keeping his

promise,as some understand

slowness. Instead he is patientwith
you, not wanting anyone to perish,
but everyone to come to repentance.
Jews who stubbornly turned their
backs on God, forgot His works,
disobeyed His laws, and followed
strange gods.

Furthermore, theLORDsaid to me,
I have seen this people, and behold,

Galit na galit ang Diyos sa

Deuteronomy 9:14

Let me alone,so that I may destroy
them and blot outtheir name from
under heaven. And I will make you
into a nation stronger and more
numerous than they.
How does God
discipline the
stubborn?

stubborn and rebellious. He will not obey us. He is
a glutton and a drunkard.21Then all the men of
his town are to stone him to death. You must purge
the evilfrom among you. All Israel will hear of it
and be afraid.
A Man with a Withered Hand
3cAgaindhe entered the synagogue, and a
man was there with a withered hand.2Ande
they watched Jesus,1to see whether he
would heal him on the Sabbath, so that they
might accuse him.3And he said to the man

he said to them,fIs it lawful on the Sabbath

Pharaoh finally relented.
He sent his army to chase
down the Israelites, who
only escaped through
