What is the computer?
Computer-is an
electronic
device capable to
manipulate save,
and restore data.

The printer is used to
develop a hard copy or
paper copy of a document
or picture. The printer
connects to the computer
and require s the use of
its own power cord.
 A printer is another common
parts of a computer system .
It is used to print on paper
what you have done in your
computer.

A monitor is a visual device similar to
television screen. It is also known as cathode
Ray Tube (CRT), terminal or video board. A
common display size is 24 lines of 80
characters
You could consider the monitor screen as your
workspace because it lets you see what you
are doing while working with the computer.
Commands and data are displayed and
manipulated on the screen. The monitor shows
a temporary result or soft copy generated by
the program being run on the computer.
Keyboard
Keyboard
Used for entering data, generating
commands. The keyboard layout is
similar to a typewriter with
additional keys for other functions.
There is a number keypad to the
right of the main alphabetical
keypad.

A speakers are output
devices that allows you
to hear sounds from
your computer.
Computer speakers are
just like stereo
speakers. There are
usually two of them

Computer System Unit
This is where everything comes together
to work. The system box holds the
central processing unit to act as the
brains of the computer. The unit contains
the motherboard which is the main
circuitry for the system. The power
supply for the main computer is located
in the unit. All the other parts including
the monitor, mouse, keyboard, speakers,
and others join at the unit to become a
functional system.
Compact Disk ( CD )
This device is used for
storage. Some CDs hold
information to be loaded
into a computer. Some are
used to hold information
from the computer. It
dependson what type of
CD it is.

storage device that
connects to a
computers USB fort.

designed to easily
store and transport

music, or video.

component that

in a computer.
