IRRIGATION SYSTEM
OBJECTIVE :
To tackle the problems of agricultural
sector regarding irrigation system with
available water resources and power supply.

New concepts are being developed to allow

agricultural automation to flourish and
deliver its full potential, so we consider the
implication of developing a new single
technology of Automatic plant irrigation
system using 8051 family MCU.
 EMBEDDED SYSTEM
An embedded system is a special purpose
computer system designed to perform one
or a few dedicated functions, often with real
time computing constraints.
It is usually embedded as part of a complete
device including hardware and mechanical
parts

The whole project can be
supplied by the power harnessed
from the solar panels and can be
stored in batteries.
The controller unit consist of
Mosfets and voltage regulator
like 7805 for the 5 volt supply to
the microcontroller
It also consist the pump control
unit which is commended by the
 MICROCONTROLLER
The microcontroller used is of 8051
family which is AT89C51.
The AT89C51 is a low-power, high-performance
CMOS 8-bit microcontroller with 8K bytes of in-
system programmable flash memory.
By combining a versatile 8-bit CPU with in-
system programmable flash on a monolithic chip,
the Atmel AT89S52 is a powerful microcontroller
which provides a highly-flexible and cost-
effective solution to many embedded control
applications.

 Liquid crystal display (LCD):

It is a thin, flat panel used for

electronically displaying information such
as text, images, and moving pictures.
Its uses include monitors for computers,
televisions, instrument panels, and other
devices ranging from aircraft cockpit
displays, to every-day consumer devices
such as gaming devices, clocks,
watches, calculators, and telephones

The main scope of this project is to make the
irrigation automated.
With the use of low cost sensors and the simple
circuitrymakes this project a low cost product, which
can be bought by a poor farmer.
This project is best suitedfor places where water is
scares and to be used in limited quantity.
