Overview
DELPLUS 2.0 LAN Version has been developed
bearing in mind the size and
operations of the libraries. DELPLUS 2.0 is designed
for all types of small and
bigger libraries. In order to modernize and network the
libraries in India, DELNET presents DELPLUS 2.0, then
Library Management Software that conforms to
international standards and presents its applications in
a user-friendly manner.
Introductio
n DelPlus 2.0 is Multi User Library
Management Software. It is designed
to cater to the needs of various types
of libraries such as University Libraries,
College Libraries, Public Libraries,
Research Libraries, etc. This user
manual helps the users to use the
package in an easier way. Every step is
described in detail with appropriate
examples in order to give users better
access to the modules.

DelPlus 2.0 comprise the following

Software is designed and developed
exclusively to work in all types of
libraries including public libraries,
academic libraries and special libraries,
like the Engineering College Library.
DelPlus 2.0 is menu-driven with
Graphical User Interface (GUI). It is a
user-friendly tool for the management
of libraries.

security system and provides for
password both for the System
Administrator as well as the user.

MAIN SCREEN
This is the Main Screen of DelPlus
2.0. This screen is used to input the
User Id and Password to enter into the
DelPlus Software.
Click on Acquisition Module
ACQUISITION MODULE
This module facilitates a library to
procure and process new books from
different sources. The following are its
sub-modules.
CATALOGUING MODULE
This module enables you to catalogue
different types of material using
different formats, i.e. MARC-21 FORMAT
and CCF.
Click here and you will reach a new
window. This window is called
worksheet window.
OPAC MODULE
OPAC (Online Public Access Catalogue)
provides different types of search
options. Individual, Serial, Visual,
Status, Article, Boolean, Search All and
Added Entry Search. Click <OPAC>
from Main Menu and OPAC Search
window will open.
There are eighteen (18) individual
search options. Select any of these
search options and click the
corresponding Search Window will
open.
CIRCULATION MODULE
Circulation module includes all the
activities required in a library. It has the
facility to automatically generate
reminders for overdue items, calculate
fine charges and generate
corresponding reports. This module will
help to have effective control over
circulation activities.
This module includes the following

3. Return
ARTICLE INDEXING MODULE

This module is developed to maintain a

database of various articles indexed in
the library or collected from outside
sources.

This module includes the following

activities of Article Indexing:

SERIAL CONTROL
This module is developed to maintain
a database of volumes and issues
available in the library or collected from
outside sources.
This module includes the following
activities of Serial Control:

1. Subscription of Periodicals
(Gift/Exchange/Approval)
2. Receiving
3. Renewal
4. OPAC Search
5. Bound Volume
SYSTEM ADMINISTRATION
MODULE
This module facilitates different
administrative functions. It also
provides the facility to define different
types of global values that, once
defined are used throughout the
functioning of this software. It also
controls and manages all the modules
defined in the Main Menu.
