Awareness and Training Regulation

Employers
must:-
Ensure that workers complete a basic occupational health and
safety
awareness training programas soon as reasonably possible.
Ensure that supervisors complete a basic occupational health and
safety
awareness training programwithin one week of working as a
supervisor.
Maintain a record of the training completed by workers and
supervisors.
Provide a worker or supervisor with written proof of completion
of the
training, if requested by the worker or supervisor (up to six
months after
ceasing to work for the employer).

The Health and Safety Executive (HSE):-

The HSE is the Indian government body

responsible for enforcing health and safety at
work provision. The HSE also plays a major role
in producing advice on health and safety issues,
and guidance on relevant provision. The role of
enforcement is split between HSE and local
authorities depending on the business sector.
Inaddition, HSE conducts research into the
effectiveness of regulations and other health and
safety issues, consults with employers and
employees representatives, and advises legist
and government on health and safety.

employee is killed on the job or suffers a work-
related
hospitalization, amputation, or loss of an eye.
