IQ Tests

The IQ test was developed about a

century ago as a way to determine who
would have trouble in school.
The test measures linguistic ability,
logical-mathematical ability, and,
occasionally, spatial ability.
IQ Tests

IQ tests do not inform us about other

intelligences
IQ doesn't look at creativity, civic
mindedness, morals, or ethics.

We don't do much IQ testing anymore,
but the successors of IQ tests are still
with us.

Arguably the most valued examinations in

the nation--are basically the same kind
of disembodied language-logic
instrument as IQ.
