Launched on 1997
Smart school = learning institution
-teaching and learning process and
school management has been
systematically reconstructed in order to
prepare students for the
Information Age.
IMPLEMENTATION WAVES
Wave 1 : Pilot Phase ( 1999-2002)
Wave 2 : Post Pilot ( 2002-2005)
Wave 3 : Making All Schools Smart (2005-2010)
Wave 4 : Consolidate and Stabilize (2010-2020)

OBJECTIVE SMART SCHOOL


To provide all- round development of individual
To provide opportunities to enhance individual strengths and
abilities.
To produce a thinking technology-literate workforce.
To democratize education.
To increase participation of stalk holders.

Need to spend a lot of money for

CHALLENGES OF TEACHER
must have some skills in ICT to create effective teaching and learning
process and to manage the computer system

must have other initiative or prepare various strategies in teaching and


learning if computers or other devices cannot function properly

ICT teacher be a technician,

make the student adapt with new learning environment.

control students attitude when using technologies
