2.1 The greater Mekong subregion progam (GMS)

- With assistance from ADB, GMS program consists of 6 countries

(GMS)

- GMS PROGRAM INVESTS INTO VIETNAM WITH

VARIOUS SECTORS : TRANSPORT, ENERGY,
TELCOMMUNICATION, PRIVATE SECTOR

ADB will be invested in a US $1.6 billion-project to building a 57-

kilometer modern expressway in Ho Chi Minh City to connect
between Ben Luc and Long Thanh
Once coming into operation in 2017, the expressway will ease
travel time by 80% and reduce the number of traffic accidents by
10%
 2.3 ENERGY PROJECT

-Song Bung Project:

The Song Bung 4 Hydropower Project (SB4) was the first hydropower
project in Viet Nam to receive financing from a multilateral financial
institution or funds from ADB
 2.4 WATER RESOURCES PROJECT

Project Agreement( dated 8 June 2011) between

ADB and SAIGON WATER CORPORATION .

ADB has agreed to make to SAI GON WATER

CORPORATION a loan of one hundred thirty
eight million Dollars ($138,000,000).
