GENESIS 37:2 (NLT)
This is the account of Jacob and his
2

family. When Joseph was seventeen

years old, he often tended his
fathers flocks. He worked for his half
brothers, the sons of his fathers
wives Bilhah and Zilpah. But Joseph
reported to his father some of the
bad things his brothers were doing.
GENESIS 37:5-11 (NLT)
One night Joseph
5

had a dream, and

when he told his
brothers about it,
Listen to this dream,

he said. We were out in

the field, tying up

bundles of grain.
Suddenly my bundle
stood up, and your
bundles all gathered
GENESIS 37:6-7 (NLT)
His brothers responded, So
8

you think you will be our king,

do you? Do you actually think
you will reign over us? And
they hated him all the more
because of his dreams and the
way he talked about them.
GENESIS 37:8 (NLT)
Soon Joseph had another
9

dream, and again he told

his brothers about it.
Listen, I have had another
dream, he said. The sun,
moon, and eleven stars
bowed low before me!
GENESIS 37:9 (NLT)
This time he told the
10

dream to his father as well

as to his brothers, but his
father scolded him. What
kind of dream is that? he
asked. Will your mother

he soon made Joseph his

GENESIS 39:4 (NLT)
5From the day Joseph was put in
charge of his masters household
and property, theLORDbegan to
bless Potiphars household for
Josephs sake. All his household
affairs ran smoothly, and his
crops and livestock flourished.

GENESIS 39:5 (NLT)

6So Potiphar gave Joseph
complete administrative
responsibility over everything he
owned. With Joseph there, he
didnt worry about a thing
except what kind of food to eat!
Joseph was a very handsome and
well-built young man,

There were many people in the
room, and he said to his
attendants, Out, all of you!
So he was alone with his
brothers when he told them
who he was.
2Then he broke down and
wept. He wept so loudly
the Egyptians could hear
him, and word of it
quickly carried to
Pharaohs palace.

I am Joseph! he said
to his brothers. Is my
father still alive? But his
brothers were
