RATIONALE
According the NACG (National Association for Gifted Children), developing and
nurturing high performance of gifted students supports the future prosperity of our
nation, state, community, and of individuals. However, most are not developing to the
level their potential would indicate is possible. In an article featured on the NAGC site,
Carol Ann Tomlinson, Ed.D, of The University of Virginia notes what it means to teach
gifted learners well:
