 Presentation

The OMC-R is the Operation and Maintenance center for the radio subsystems of the GSM
network.
The OMC-R centralizes the operation and maintenance functions of the Base Station
Subsystems connected to it.

BSS O&M is based on the following general management functions:

Configuration from the OMC-R of the entities included in the BSS.
Observation of the BSS operation, allowing system performance analysis and fault
detection.

This section describes the external aspects of the OMC-R. It deals with the relationship
between the OMC-R and other subsystems of the network, as well as the user interfaces.
Furthermore, it describes the main functions provided by OMC-R application.
