Preparing for 5S

All departments should be audited prior to 5S activity to establish


baseline data.

Prior to conducting 5S activities, all affected employees need to


receive training and expectations for the 5S initiative.

Review corporate 5S training powerpoint located on the


LSS website.

Establish plant-specific guidelines on acceptable items.

The recommended auditor team method is three (3) people


with cross-functional representation.

locations as necessary.
Each plant will need to
adjust the Department
and Description lists
as necessary to ensure the
