Reading and Writing grades are meant to be mastered by the
END of the year

Standards will be worked on the entire year

New grades will REPLACE older grades to show current levels

of understanding

Replacing grades ensures students will not be penalized for

preforming below standards early in the year

Reassessments can be taken in math only. Reading and writing
assignments may not be retaken as the standards are practiced

In order to retest, students must:
Get a practice sheet(s) from the teacher
Complete practice sheet on their own time
Earn at least a 90% on the practice
Make an appointment to requiz
Students should be reading for 20 minutes a
night

Please help your child by ensuring they read
