Students in the college of Business Administration of Jefferson state

university uses its microcomputer lab for variety of assignments.

For example:-

1. A student may use a word processing program stored on a micro-

computers hard drive and proceed to type a case study analysis .

2. When the analysis is typed, edited, and properly formatted to an

instructures specification, the student may save it on floopy disk
and print a copy on one of the printers in the lab network.

3. If the student tries to save the the case study analysis using the
file name he/she has alreay used for saving another document the
computer will display a warning message and wait until it receives
an additional command.

Input : the system accepts input in form of text data typed by

student through keyboard

Processing: The word processing software processes the input

data to format it appropriately for display or printing and
facilitate editing on input document

Output: Output in form of copy of document file saved on disk

or display of document on screen and printed copy of
document.

Storage: the document temporarily stored on computers

primary memory and permanently on disk

Control: the warning message received when saving the file

under a name that has already been used.
