GRADIENT AND AREA

UNDER A GRAPH
By Pn Choy Mun Wei 9th March 2017 _ 5 Mawar
Understand and use the concept of quantity
represented by the gradient of a graph

Success Criteria
Students are successful if they are able to
1) Interpret the gradient of 3 distance-time graph through activity
2) Find the speed for a period of time from a distance-time graph through
activity

ACTIVITY
COLLABARATIVE ACTIVITY 1
INSTRUCTION
Each group will be given 1 distance-time graph poster
and 9 story cards (in the envelope).
In your group, take a story and find a graph that
matches it.
Take turns at matching pairs of cards. Each time you
do this, explain your thinking clearly and carefully.
Once your group finished the task, kindly shout out
your group number.
The group that take the shortest time and complete
the task correctly will be considered as the WINNER.

1) What is the average speed, in ms-1 of
the hare for the last 4 minutes?
