Cut it with knife.
It forms a hemisphere.
It will have a circular surface at top & C.S.A.
So ,S.A of hemisphere(half of sphere) =2r2
T.S.A of a hemisphere= 3r2

Sol: Radius of Hemisphere= 10 cm
T.S.A of hemisphere= 3r2
= 3*3.14*10*10
= 9.42*100
= 942 cm2
