from black where the image gradually becomes
brighter is a Fade In.

HIGH CAMERA ANGLE: A camera angle which looks

down on its subject making it look small, weak or
unimportant.

LOW CAMERA ANGLE: A camera angle which looks

up at its subject; it makes the subject seem
important and powerful.
Dolly-The camera is mounted on a cart which travels along
tracks for a very smooth movement. Also known as a tracking
shot or trucking shot.
Follow-The camera physically follows the subject at a more or
less constant distance.
Pan-Horizontal movement, left and right.
movement of the camera angle, i.e. pointing the camera up
and down (as opposed to moving the whole camera up and
down).
Track-Roughly synonymous with the dolly shot, but often
defined more specifically as movement which stays a constant
distance from the action, especially side-to-side
Zoom-Technically this isn't a camera move, but a change in
the lens focal length with gives the illusion of moving the
camera closer or further away.
Storyboard is a sequence of
small images that explain the animation. It is
a visual of something that we can
write (showing on the screen) and the structure.
Provide adequate visual to the director, the
director of photography, producer and groups
that make special effects.
Including a complete compositions, music, time,
and also information about various graphic
elements.
Each frame represents and describes each shot that
made the film.
Storyboard is a way in which we as film makers to
find ways to draw pictures of how to develop a
scene in a film.
Although this is the first function, it is also a
guide to those involved in the making of the film.
There are three stages of the storyboard:
1. Thumbnail
2. Rough pass
3. Cleaned up storyboard
The first ideas that pop into directors head.
First, artists will draw a thumb panel to display
the action. Because the image created is too small,
many panels can be inserted into a page. Easier
for directors to view the story.
Thumbnail is a simple drawing benefits to
directors- directors can see whether the idea
or action that was thought can be produced.
Directors can change the original
storyline to make it more attractive.
Usually there is a change in the character
and camera angles.
Size for rough pass is usually bigger
than thumbnail. It allows artists to draw in more
detail related character, action and environment.
This storyboard is easier to read.
For the last step, the panel storyboard will
be complete with all necessary information.
The animator will look again and add any necessary
to complement the scene.
Sometimes, storyboard will be colored.
