Job description
Ensuring that all people & goods entering Canada are justifiable under our laws
Must contribute to the constant fight against human trafficking and help with
international terrorism
Defending Canada against the introduction of human, animal and plant diseases
Patrol against the flow of narcotics, firearms, child pornography and any other illegal
goods & substances
Border Security Officers are the face of this country. Protect the safety & health of
Canada
Most work done inside, officers will participate in events outside in different weather
Many opportunities & responsibilities make it so its never the same day twice
SALARY
Border Security Officers make between $27 - $34 hourly
Student Border Services Officer make between $16 - $20 hourly
A border Services Officer usually makes $68,035 per year
Education & Skill Requirements
Secondary school diploma
Complete a college program/course in law or security
Complete the Canadian Firearms Safety Course ( CFSC )
Complete the Canadian Restricted Firearms Safety Course ( CRFSC )
Maintain a valid drivers license & allowed to drive a motor vehicle in Canada
Thompson Rivers University, UBC, Michigan State University, University of Virginia
