Creating Limiting Surfaces For

A Block Model
2007 Dr. B.C. Paul
{Note The Name MineSight and the Program described are property of
Mintec Inc Tucson, Arizona}
Where We Are At

At this point we have our assay data in

MineSight
We have composited our samples into
intervals that correspond to our chosen
bench height
We now want to get ready to interpolate
this data into a block model
MineSight Needs to Know
MineSight needs to know what area to
block
Our Project control file covers the
east/west north/south but we need up and
down limits
This is where our surface comes in
We have no ore blocks above the surface
Program wants us to tell it how far down to
go (it really doesnt want to try for China)
How We Are Going to Do This

We will create a boundary geometry

element
We will copy our surface into it
Then we will make a copy of our surface
down 1000 meters
We will use this as our up and down limits
and feed that to the block model routines
We Will Create A New Geometry Object
to Put Our Surface In
In Data Manager

Go to File

Click New from the

Drop down menu

Select Geometry
Object from the side
Pop-up menu
Name the Object and Click Ok

Im naming mine
