MY OPINIONS AND FACTS OF
OVERTURE TO DER FLIEGENDE HOLLNDER
(THE FLYING DUTCHMAN) - 1890
Facts:
1. A German-language opera, with libretto and music.
2. Richard Wagner had been inspired to write the opera following a stormy sea crossing
he made from Riga to London in July and August 1839.
3. The theme is redemption through love.

Opinions:
In my opinion, I think this show is quietly interesting and excited because the rhythm
and tempo are changing all the time. Thus, I am not feeling bored, but I really enjoy with
the melody in a song. In additions, I got many kinds of feeling cause of the contrast
between soft and heavy sound in the music whereas in the beginning of music, the
sound is strong, heavy, and go quickly, but at the end, it is quite softer.
