Freedom?
FREEDOM
1) the power or right to act, speak, or think freely.
the state of having free will.
2) the state of being free.
unrestricted use of something.
3) (freedom from) the state of not being subject to or
affected by (something undesirable).
INTRODUCTION
A Christian is a person who
has been set free from sin
its pull, its deteriorating
influence, its
consequenceswe have
been liberated
(Gal. 5:1).

 Romans 5:20-6:1
What message can you bring out from Rom
5:20b?
Rom 6:1 Paul tells us that as Christians, living
in sin continually is not an acceptable way of
glorifying God
Rom 6:2 Paul tells us that if we are truly dead
to sin, we wont live in it any longer
 What are the characteristics of a dead person?
Romans 6:3-11
The atoning work of Jesus Christ has done it
all and if you claim to be a born-again
Christian then you must be dead to and free
from sin, Just as death does not exercise any
power over Jesus Christ, so also we must
never be subject to sin
 This is not to say that we do not, from time to
time, continue to commit actual sins. But it
does mean that we have the capacity to avoid
them. (1 Cor 10:13)
We no longer commit them as slaves to sin. We
commit them out of free disobedience.
In order words, sin remains the master of an
unbeliever, but it is a slave to a true believer.

Romans 6:4-14
 Romans 7:1-3
From the analogy of marriage, if we do not die
to sin (our natural husband), we cannot marry
Christ (our new husband). If we die to sin, we
possess the FREEDOM to live for God and
for Him alone.
Romans 6:12-14
Do not give sin any breeding space in your life.

Romans 6:16-23 LIVE
RIGHT
 Though we are free from sin, theres still the
likelihood of stumbling into sin because the
Devil is not ready to give up. (Romans 7:15,17-
18; 1 Pet 5:8)- You have to be alert!
Very importantly in Chapter 8, Paul talks about
living victoriously through the Spirit in us.
(Romans 8:1,6)
This calls for SPIRITUALITY
 Do you desire success?
What kind of success is that?
Success is like a shadow to a true Spiritual
Christian. (Matt 6:33, Pro 3:5-6)
Spirituality will guarantee an outstanding
future for you. What does Spirituality mean?

How do we become Spiritual?
 Develop your
Spiritual muscles
by taking
specialised and
disciplined diet
from the word of
God and other
resources.
Exercise yourself through prayer
If a tree is not firm, the problem
will be traced back to the root.
