The growth of the industrial sector of batik
In the Batik industry, about 20 to 30 dyes
and chemicals used in the different
production processes.

If products and reports are not handled

carefully, it can be detrimental and
damaging either the workers or the
environment surrounding
Liquid waste generated by batik industry
directly discharged into water bodies will
increase the concentration of COD, BOD,
TSS, pH, Sulfide

Ammonia, Chromium, Phenols, Oils and

Fats.
Basic Health Research based on the year
2007, the prevalence of dermatitis in
Central Java by 8% of the hundreds of
thousands of types of chemicals for
various purposes provided, among the
chemicals that can be classified as
chemicals not harmful and toxic (nonB3)
and there are classified as hazardous and
toxic materials (B3)
The process of batik coloring job done this

(Cd),arsenic (As), copper (Cu), and chromium
(Cr)
Clinical implications due to contaminated by
Chromium (Cr). Poisoning the human body
against chromium (Cr), may result in ill will

Oral methanil yellow exposure with graded
dosage for 30 days cause change of

In Cinical : There is a very significant
relation between chemical agents
exposure at the colouring process of the
batiks making with the lung clinical
impairment. (J Respir Indo. 2014; 34:77-
