Education
It is proven that Pre-K intervention can
increase:
HS graduation rates
College enrollment rates
Higher reading levels
The program group significantly
overshadows the non program group
The biggest and most important jump is
being ready for school at age 5
Pitfalls and Problems
Unable to perform primary research:
Difficulty in surveying
Not enough time to go to each district/school to survey
Costly (gas, amenities/food, days off of work)
Cannot survey parents of children already in Pre-K
Possibility of becoming too personal with parents.
So What Can We Do?
Create a brochure specifically for parents interested in enrolling in Pre-K.
Create a flyer to give parents an idea of Pre-K in general and the closest schools
offering.
Increase success stories found on the Commit! Website.
Coppell ISD - Pre-K Registration Campaign helped to increase Pre-K enrollment rates.
Number of applicants increased 32% from 2015 to 2016.
