PURPOSE
We aim to identify the predictors of 6MWT
distance and to evaluate the impact of rehabilitation
programme in larger-scale subjects admitted in our
institution.
METHOD
We retrospectively studied 1779 adults patients (age
18 or older) undergoing phase II rehabilitation in
National Cardiovascular Center Harapan Kita from
2009 until 2017. Data were collected using NCCHK
database. Baseline characteristics and 6MWT
distance were measured at the beginning of phase II
(within one week after any type of cardiac surgery).
Following two to four weeks rehabilitation
programme, the 6MWT were repeated. Statistical
analysis using SPSS 20.0 (SPSS Inc., Chicago, IL, USA).
Significance levels for all tests were established as a
two-tailed p-values <0.05.

*Adjusted R Square of the model is 84%

CONCLUSION
Cardiac rehabilitation programme significantly improved functional capacity of patients undergoing cardiac surgery
as measured with 6MWT distance. The predictors of 6MWT distance found in this study were : gender, age, height,
ejection fraction, type of surgery, baseline 6MWT distance and the presence of either diabetes mellitus or atrial
fibrillation.
