SUMMARY

Several IEC standards are adopted by Peruvian Standards,

but we will start the adoption of TC-31 standards by 2014.
The hazardous locations classification is regulated by the
Electrical Code. Classe I (Zones 0,1,2), Classe II and III
(Divisions 1, 2).
Currently, there are not both the certification of electrical
products and the conformity assessment procedures;
however, usually it requires the certification in the country of
origin.
The regulations on Explosive Atmospheres, cover in general
way but not sistematically, the entire life cycle of plants
containing hazardous areas; by means of compliance
National Electrical Code and the regulations of the
Hydrocarbons General Directorate.
