What is science ?
Science is the study of the physical and natural world through observations and
experiments. Science is all around us, its process of creating the air we breathe, the food we
enjoy, water we drink, and clothes we wear are all based in science.
Why we teach science to young children

Science starting in pre-school and continuing daily straight through high school.

- The reasons of teaching science :

o Students today will be of use to them as they pursue a career through the twenty-first century.
o Its important for students to learn for life in the years to come.
o Learn them to solve the new problems they could face.

o Designed for supporting the development of a scientific literate society. And the contents of
standards help identify what children at different ages and stages should know and be able to do in
the areas of science.
