I. Learning Objectives:
At the end of the lesson, students are
expected to:
A. distinguish the positive and negative
side of claim of value
B. appreciate the importance of claim of
value;
C. show understanding through varied
activities

Mechanics:
1.Inten seconds, identify the keyword that
best describes the picture.
2.After identifying the word, a representative
per group will stand and tell the word to the
class. A correct word is worth 3-5 points.

valuable and desirable. It
involves judgment, evaluation,
and appraisals.
Examples
For example, you determined that
the Menendez brothers killed their
parents with a shotgun in the claim of
fact, but the claim of value
investigates all the reasons, good and
bad, for this act, in order to establish
intent and/or mitigating
circumstances.
The hunting of animals is a
barbaric practice.
