What is a Research Paper?
Based on www.yourfreedictionary.com, A research paper is defined as
follows;
Research-paper. Noun. (plural research papers)
A substantial piece of academic writing, usually done as a requirement for
a class, in which the author does independent research into a topic and
writes a description of the findings of that research.
A research paper is one’s way of putting ideas and discoveries into good
use. However, simply knowing its meaning won’t be an help when a
discovery strikes up. Knowing its components will be a better guide in
making your own research paper. That’s why are objectives for today are;

At the end of our presentation, we expect you to;
Recall and Refresh information gathered last year about the
“Parts of a Research Paper” and;
Familiarize your self with the components of a Research
Paper.

BACKGROUND OF THE STUDY // STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM // SIGNIFICANCE OF THE STUDY // ASSUMTIONS OF THE STUDY
BACKGROUND OF THE STUDY
Includes purpose and reason behind the conduct of the
study. (What made you conduct the study?) Also serves as
the introduction of our Research Paper.
STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM
The main problem that the research is trying to solve. It
follows the formulation of the title and should be faithful
to it. It specifically points the important questions that
the study needs to answer. It also serves as the base of
the questionnaire.
SIGNIFICANCE OF THE STUDY
(Why conduct the study?) You have to identify who will
benefit from the research and how they will be benefitted.
This should match with the recommendations.
