SELF AND FAMILY – Matt. 5:7, Job 27:13-14
• Blessed are the merciful, For they shall obtain
mercy. – Matt. 5:7 (NKJV)
• "This is the portion of a wicked man with
God, And the heritage of oppressors,
received from the Almighty: If his children
are multiplied, it is for the sword; And his
offspring shall not be satisfied with bread. –
Job 27:13 – 14 (NKJV)

– The concept & power of God’s mercy
– Mercy of God is desirable; most desirable above all
things because it answers all things.
– God is moved to have compassion by certain actions
of man, these include :
• Prayer and Cry
• Genuine Repentance
• Action of mercy for others
 The Power of His Mercy
• His mercy heals the sick – Matt. 14:14
• Gives rest – Matt. 14:28
• His mercy provides for us and multiply the
insufficient to make it surplus.
• The mercy of God preserves – Lam. 3:22-23
• The mercy of God raises helpers for us – Neh. 9:27
• The mercy of God rescues us from terrible
situations now and again – Neh. 9:28
• The mercy of God opens heaven - Gen. 28:12-13
• THE MERCY OF GOD IS DESIRABLE!
 Pray and Cry for His Mercy
• Matt. 20:29 – 34 The blind received mercy
• 1 Samuel 12:8 Israel cried to God and He had
mercy and delivered them from Egypt.
• Prayer is more than mere asking; it is
– Asking, Seeking and Knocking
– It is persisting in prayer - Eph 6:18 praying always with all
prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to
this end with all perseverance and supplication for all
the saints
 Repent to receive His mercy
• 2 Chronicles 30:9 "For if you return to the LORD,
your brethren and your children will be treated
with compassion by those who lead them captive,
so that they may come back to this land; for the
LORD your God is gracious and merciful, and will
not turn His face from you if you return to Him."
• Repent for yourself and for your children and with
your children to receive the mercy of God
 Be merciful to receive His mercy
• Matt. 5:7, Job 27:13-14
• 2 Sam. 22:26 "With the merciful You will show
Yourself merciful; With a blameless man You will
show Yourself blameless;
