Ready?

But . . .

HOW?
ACTIVITY TIME!
Station 3: “WOW, SABAW!”
Bring your own timer/stopwatch

RESPONSE
Sensation is the detection of stimulus via
sensory receptors/organs

Sensation has three steps:

(1) Detection of stimulus by the sensory receptor
(2) Conversion of the stimulus into neural impulses
(3) Traveling of these neural impulses towards the specific part of
the brain
In the first station, the “Hear, Ear!” activity, identify what is/are:

the STIMULUS the sound waves

the SENSORY RECEPTOR the cilia of the ears
Recall the three steps in Sensation.
(1) Detection of stimulus by the sensory receptor
(2) Conversion of the stimulus into neural impulses
(3) Traveling of these neural impulses towards the specific part
of the brain

Response is an action or movement that results from an
external or internal stimulus perceived by sensory structures
“Hear, Ear!” answers:

1, 2, 3, 4, 5
In the second station, the “BRAIN-xercise” activity, what are the:
