1
Learning the
Buddha-Dhamma
is ‘Pariyatti’.
May we learn
most diligently
and mindfully.

2
Practicing the Dhamma is ‘Patipatti’.
May we practice ardently and heedfully.

3
Realizing the Truth of Dhamma is ‘Pativedha’.
May our practice lead to the end of all Dukkha.

4
May we refrain from any torturing or killing.
May we be mindful NOT to hurt another being.

5
Compassion in Pali is known as ‘Karuna’.
May we show Karuna to all in Samsara.

6
Cheating or stealing is an act of greed.
May we refrain from this unwholesome deed.

7
Dana or Giving
must be practiced constantly.
May our Generosity develop strongly.

8
Sexual misconduct is an unwholesome action.
May we refrain from conduct of foolish passion.

9
Sense restraint should be practiced mindfully.
May we grow in contentment steadily.

10
Lying can cause others much pain or misery.
May we refrain from lying intentionally.

11
Be Truthful in
communicating
verbally.
May we train the
mind so as to
speak truthfully.

12
Tale bearing in one’s speech is a danger.
May we be mindful and avoid slander.

13
Malicious speech
can very badly
hurt a person’s
heart.

May we speak
harmonious words
and not tear people
apart.

14
Harsh speech hurts people and brings unhappiness.
May we refrain from using speech of harshness.

15
Words can cause another much harm and pain.
May we use kind words again and again.

16
Frivolous talk is indeed a most unskillful thing.
May we check the mind to keep away from gossiping.
17
The highest
gift
is indeed
The Gift Of
Dhamma.
May we
speak
words
of Dhamma
to help end
Dukkha.

18
Strive on in the Dhamma
with diligence and faith.

May we eradicate
greed, delusion and hate.

19
May we be good
and righteous
in this Year of the Dog
practicing mindfully
along The Middle Way Walk.

20
To All, Gong Xi Fa Cai
‘Two Zero One Eight’!
Be virtuous, meditate,
it’s never too late!
