Rio de Janeiro, or simply Rio is the second-most populous
municipality in Brazil and the sixth-most populous in the Americas,
besides being the biggest tourist destination international in Brazil, Latin America and the whole of the Southern Hemisphere. The Rio is a city filled with contrasts, so diverse in its people, nature and architecture. Its historic buildings, the modern 19th- century icons and the recent works signed by internacional architects combine with this beauty, relief and nature. That the Rio is a wonderful city, the song said. But it didn’t need to. Just look at the sides to perceive the reasons for the adjective. Surrounded by beautiful beaches and very green, the Rio collects many attractions, and now, we will see some of them (at least my favourites). Elected one of the seven wonders of the modern world, the city’s main postal card. Inside its eight- meter-high base is a chapel, where it's not uncommon to find weddings and baptisms taking place. Another registered trademark of the Rio, the hill of Pão de Açúcar is a mountain that measures 394 meters tall, stripped of vegetation in its almost entirety, among the districts of Urca, Botafogo and Copacabana. Its tram, whose shuttle is already part of the landscape, become mandatory passage for visitors, leading them to the top of the Morro da Urca and from there to the top of the Pão de Açúcar. From here, you can see the entire mountainous coast that rings the bay and its islands. Botanical Garden, houses more than 8,000 species of plants. The garden includes a number of monuments, fountains and features, including an Imperial Palm grove, a Japanese garden, a orchard and the new Museu do Meio Ambiente, which displays exhibits that focus on the environment. Confeitaria Colombo is a confectionery shop located in the city center of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. It is one of the main sights of the Central Region of the city. U City Guides has selected Confeitaria Colombo one of the 10 most beautiful cafes in the world. Confeitaria Colombo has also owned a second branch in the Fort of Copacabana where you can take the delicious colonial coffee and enjoy the sunset. Located in front of Copacabana Beach, the unique décor of Marius Degustare combines a maritime theme with antique artifacts from Brazil's farming past.
I use only the highest quality
ingredients from environmentally sustainable practices. Organic foods figure prominently in our dishes, as they are highly beneficial for the environment and the health of our guests. As an example we can mention the delicious biffe of place specially fueled with champagnhe Marius Degustare appears on page 827 of Patricia Schultz’s best-selling book, "1000 Places To See Before You Die". Lapa is the place of Carioca Bohemian. Their arches was built in the mid 18th century as a way to supply Rio de Janeiro with fresh drinking water from the Carioca River and, nowadays, are one of the city’s famous postcards, in addition to their narrow streets and their houses loaded with stories. the arches are a popular meeting spot for locals, especially at night, when the area comes alive with street vendors, music and dancing. The neighborhood boils all week. They are bars, restaurants, cafes, pubs and nightclubs for all tastes, ages and intentions. Lapa is truly democratic and welcoming. It would be impossible to mention all the good that you you can see or do in Rio, because it is full of attractions. I could still talk about several famous beaches such as Copacabana and Ipanema, for example; about Maracanã, one of the world’s most famous soccer stadiums; in addition to the Municipal theater, Fort of Copacabana, Lage Park, Fiscal Island, Museum of the Tomorrow, Museum of Modern Art, Museum of Contemporary Art, Lagoa Rodrigo de Freitas, Marine Aquarium, Tijuca Forest, Escadaria do Selarón. There is also the carnival, Rock in Rio, the wonderful tours of helicopter or simply cycling through the cuty, the delta-wing flights... Rio is an amazing city with breathtaking scenery. Come on, meet, register, do the tours and you won’t regret it!
