• 6 have IEPs
• 1 student was on crutches and wearing a boot
• 2 come in from the resource room
• 1 has Autism
• 1 has Down Syndrome
THREE QUESTIONS I HAVE ABOUT TEACHING THAT
MY COOPERATING TEACHER ANSWERED
• What kind of training do you get to handle the behavior of the resource
room students you get?
• There is no official training. I go to the resource room and they give me advise
and if needed they pull students out of the class.
• How do you chose the questions to cut out of the tests for your IEP students?
• I take it out if it is specific, they just need to know the generalized things.
• Do you do one on one work and if you do how do you keep the other
students on task?
• Yes, it is hard to do. I have the rule ask three before me. I tell them not to
interrupt me, unless they are about to pee themselves, or bleeding. If they do
interrupt me, I give them a hand signal to go back to their seat. I put one student
right beside me so I can keep reminding him to do his work.
