Wasteful Deeds?

َ ْ‫ض َّل‬
‫سعيُ ُهمْ ِفي‬ َ ‫﴾ْالَّ ِذ‬103﴿ْ‫ال‬
َ ْ‫ين‬ ْ ً ‫ينْأَع َم‬ َ ‫قُلْ َهلْنُن َِبئ ُ ُكمْ ِباْلَخ‬
َ ‫س ِر‬
﴾104﴿ْ‫صنعًا‬ ُ ْ‫ون‬ َ ُ‫ونْأَنَّ ُهمْْيُح ِسن‬ َ ‫اْو ُهمْيَح‬
َ ُ‫سب‬ َ َ‫ال َحيَا ِةْالدُّني‬
“Say (O Muhammad SAW): Shall We tell you the greatest
losers in respect of (their) deeds?
Those whose efforts have been wasted in this life while
they thought that they were acquiring good by their
deeds!
 ً‫اميَ ْة‬
ِ ‫ تَصلَى نَارْا ً َح‬- ْ‫اصبَة‬
ِ َّ‫املَةْ ن‬
ِ ‫ع‬َ - ْ‫هْ يَو َمئِذْ خَـ ِشعَة‬
Some faces, that Day will be humiliated. Laboring,
weary. They will enter in the hot blazing Fire.
Two Conditions:

 Sincerity (To please Allah SWT)

 According to Quran & Sunnah
Surah Al Asr – Quran (103:1-3)
Exhorting others towards the Haq

 Calling others towards the right

 To encourage good & forbid evil
 To abstain from evil
 To not take part in encouraging that which is evil
 Dawah
Formula for a Successful Dawah
Project – Surah Al Asr
For any Dawah work to be successful, it needs:
1) Sincere practicing believers on the team "those who
believe, do righteous deeds,"
2) working together in establishing the project "assist
each other towards the truth"
3) Assisting each other to remain patient and consistent
with all the trials that interfere with the project "and assist
each other in being patient"

If any of these factors are missing, the project will be "at

a loss"
Why ME? Why YOU?
 YOU have been chosen

"Allah chooses for Himself those whom He wishes, and guides unto
Himself those who turn to Him in repentance and in obedience.”
(Quran 42:13)
You are a Messenger
Surah Yusuf (12:108)

Say, “This is my way; I invite to Allah with insight, I and those who follow me.
And exalted is Allah; and I am not of those who associate others with Him.”
Surah Fussilat (41:33)

And who is better in speech than one who

Invites to Allah and does righteousness and
says, “Indeed, I am of the Muslims.”
Surah Ale’Imran (3:104)

“and let there arise from you a nation inviting to all that is good, enjoining
what is right & forbidding what is wrong, and those will be successful.”

Why this work needs to be done?

 You need to be a part to wake up the ones

sleeping in this Ummah
 Wake up whilst you are young & be a part of
Dawah
Success of this Ummah

 We need to be Active & be a part of Dawah for the

success of this Ummah
 To hold on to our Legacy
 To convey the message of Rasul Allah (salalaho alaihi
wassalam)

CASE STUDY:
Youth Club wants to organize a conference in 2018 and our plan is to target
10,000 youth in this conference. It will be a full day conference and each
speaker/presenter will get 40 mins. So, we have 6 slots for presenters.
We have got 5 speakers confirmed and they all are average speakers and
among those 5 are some seniors scholars too.
One person in the team, gave this idea:
In order to reach out 10,000 youth, we might have to invite some comedians,
Tv actors and some other non-religious presenters and we might have to cut
down some senior scholars from above confirmed list.

Now, team is having a difference of opinion regarding this.

One side’s opinion is that we shouldn’t cut down senior scholars as our focus
should be on Dawah, not on the numbers.
The other side’s opinion is that we should invite non-religious presenters to get
maximum youth, so we can reach out our dawah of Islam to them.
Goal of Life

To seek the Pleasure of Allah( swt )

Promise of Jannah

Say, .. “So whoever would hope for the meeting with his Lord - let him
do righteous work and not associate in the worship of his Lord
anyone."
2. You cannot taste the sweetness
of Imaan until you spend that
which you love the most
- Dedicate your resources
- Spend in the way of Allah(swt) that which you love the most – Time,
Energy, Wealth
3. Use your talent & your skills
How should I do it?
1) Purify your intentions
2) In accordance with the Shariah
3) Ihsaan – with excellence
4) Quality time
5) Strive hard & put in all your efforts

"Verily, Allah will help those who help His

(cause).”(Quran 22:40)
6) Be positive
7) No task is a small task
