Introduction

 The purpose was to test the failover times for the interface between the mcRNC
and Juniper EX-4500 site switches
 Tests performed in Espoo Säteri lab for
• Management traffic (OAM)
• Iu/Iur user plane traffic (UP)
• Iub traffic control plane traffic (CP)
• Iub traffic OAM WBTS

Summary

 Separate LAN port used for management connectivity

 CP uses vlan addresses (except iub cp) and in user plane loopback addresses are
in use
 User plane and iub CP addresses can switch over to another EIPU within EIPU pair
