DHCP Client

IP Address IP Address IP Address

TDE
New
DHCP DHCP DHCP
DHCP Server DHCP Client Client Client Client

The TDE 100/200 supports DHCP addressing for both the PBX and the IP-PT’s.

During IP-PT registration, the IP-PT can locate the registered PBX by sending a
broadcast message. The PBX will then respond and the IP-PT will complete it’s
registration process.

The DHCP discovery feature is only supported on the NT300 series and NT265(d) IP-PT.
Encryption

To activate the encryption feature you must install an optional SD card (KX-TDES01sxx)

When the Encryption feature is activated ALL voice packets are encrypted between
the following end points.

(1) NT300 NT300

(2) NT300 VoIP DSP (TDE)
(3) VoIP DSP (TDE) VoIP DSP (TDE)

The encryption feature will only support the above endpoints – Any calls to an
NT265D or SIP extension on the same TDE interface will result in a failed call (User
will hear noise).

The encryption scheme only applies to IP-PT’s connected to the TDE IPCMPR and to
the TDE DSP (It will not work on IPExt16 or IPGW4/16 cards which are additional
hardware cards).

Notes for SIP Extension Users

-- The available supported functions using feature numbers are limited (Please refer to the
telephone types displayed at the top left of each operation in the User Manual).
-- The operations for Call Forwarding (FWD)/Do Not Disturb (DND)/Personal Speed Dialing
using the feature number, are not available. However, it is possible to enable these
features at SIP Extensions if set through system programming.
-- The operations for SIP Extensions may differ from the steps in this manual, and may vary
depending on the type of telephone being used.

Multi-Site PC Programming Tool

1. You can make Multi-site programming shortcuts

2. Up to 4 PBX may be programmed at the same time
3. Download system data, edit it and then paste it to the
other sites easily
Multi-Site PC Programming Tool
TDE V1.0 Multi-site Programming is temporary feature.
Formal Multi-site programming will be supported in the TDE future version.
So we don’t explain the detail in Manuals. But we will explain the TDE V1.0
Multi-site programming feature in PCMC shortly.

LAN LAN
IP Network RS232C, Modem, and
LAN T76USB are not
available for this
LAN LAN feature.

TDE V1.0 PCMC supports this as a default feature. It is free when you use
PCMC.
This feature is available up to 4 TDEs which are connected by IP Network.

The TDE 100/200 supports SNMP v1. Using this protocol it is possible to monitor the status of the
TDE remotely using either of the following two methods…
(1) Polling Method : SNMP Manager sends request messages to collect the status of the PBX
(2) TRAP Method : TDE100/200 sends Trap Message to the configured SNMP manager when the
TDE detects a Major or Minor Alarm (Such as DC/AC power down).
In addition to the standard SNMP v1 MIB file, the TDE100/200 supports the Panasonic Enterprise MIB
(Management Information Base) file for more detailed alarms. This MIB file may be loaded into in the
SNMP manager and it is available from the PCC CS website.

TDA/TDE Solutions TDE Solutions

In addition to the standard TDA time synchronisation method (ISDN & Caller ID FSK),
the TDE also supports v4 SNTP for synchronisation of the date/time.

It is also possible, with certain SNTP solutions, to link the SNTP time server to an
external reliable time source (Internet based – Using NTP, a more advanced and
accurate protocol which links back to various official atomic clock time sources).
