● Any program that helps pay for medical expenses, whether through privately purchased
insurance, social insurance, or a social welfare program funded by the government.

threatened based on just one identity”

depressed and to rate their own health more poorly. They were also more
distrustful of their doctors, felt dissatisfied with their care and were less likely to
