Uses

An application is a software which can be created in certain category's depending what it is.
There are millions of different apps all used for different things.
All the app category's are listed bellow
Entertainment- entertainment will be like Netflix and other movie players.
Marketing- marketing will be like stock markets and other things that do with business.
Presentations- presentations would be like PowerPoint and other ways to connect to your audience.
Documentation- documentation would be like diary and other ways you can store your thoughts and ideas.
Games- games would be like Pacman and any other games.
Education- educations would just be like Myday and thing that educate people.
Computer-based training – CB training is an application that can train people to do certain things.
Assessment- assessment is are testing apps testing your knowledge, this is like driving test and IQ test.
Entertainment

Entertainment is widely used all over as a lot of the apps that are in the entertainment category are Widley
known of tons of different platform such as phones, ps4 Xbox etc. The entertainment app consist if a large vary
of series, movies and video clips these interest the viewer as there a loads of category's.
Entertainment other than apps, apps aren't the only ones that give people entertainment in their life, things like
newspapers and magazines are a good example as these are bought at people discretion, magazines also
come with other little bits this can include toys or videos and movies.
Entertainment other than apps, entertainment can also be shown as music as people take a lot of there time to
create their perfect play list, this is enjoyed by millions if not billions of people as music is listened to all around the
world.
Marketing

Marketing is any app that sells anything to make profit.

Marking Apps, there are loads of different apps that sell things for example there are
music apps that sell music like ITunes but there Are others that give it all at once all u
need is a subscription, an example of this is Spotify.
Marketing apps, there are also loads of foods shops like Asda, Coop etc. these are
used to make it easier for customers to se what's in store or buy what they want and
get it delivered, but its not just supermarkets that has apps its also fast food restaurants
an example of this is Just Eat.
Presentations

presentations, there are many apps that help the user show there points to their audience, an
example of this is PowerPoint, this is a great way to make a presentation, as it is all sett up
perfectly for the user, as it has different designs they can choose from, they can add different
shapes and charts and more.
There are other ways to present your work without an app or direct address, this would be like
written banners that have been set up for passer-by's so they can notice it, if this is done, it
should only consist of one sentence and be placed some where visible at a stop sign or on a
motorway, this would be created on apps.
Documentation

Documentation, is where people put there work some where private, this acts as
there own diary, this can be used to store information like important or just notes
like what people have ordered for there food.
Many company use documentation to recognise their audience and learn what
they like best. This is achieved by creating an online survey and finding an average
of what the people like best, you can make people doing this by giving them a
chance to win something from your company, u get the best result if the survey is
short and brief.
Games

Game apps are used all over by millions if

not billions of people, the apps that are
mostly used are on a gaming console like
a Ps4 or Xbox, as these are made to play
the most advanced ones.
People are often attracted to short
games that don’t require much attention
this could either be an advertisement or a
full on app, and example of this is clash of
clans this only requires the users attention
for a short period of time, only a certain
group of people liked these though so it is
important to recognise your ordinance.
These are used to group the users
attention as this is a great source of
entertainment.
Before games come out there are always
advertisements and trailers the follow,
these are used so gamers can understand
if the game is about and if its for them.
Education

Education apps are common used so people can learn in their spare time
these are great to do home work, or just do extra work in general, these are
used a lot more used by the younger generation when there coming up to
there GSCE’s an example of this are revision apps.
There are also just normal educational app that teach people things without
any assistance, people consider this getting self taught. This is a great way to go
on further in life by self teaching your self for awhile then going into collage and
taking the same thing so you already understand what the needs to be done.
CB Training

CB Training is apps that teach people to do certain

things like. Cooking, driving and other practical
things.
There are jobs that require you to lean everything on
an app an take a test before you can apply they do
this to check your overall skill and ambition.
Assessment

Assessment apps are used to challenge and

test people, these are made to give you
feedback from your previous work. There are
some apps that test how stupid u are, but
the are not truthful as they ask stupid
questions , so this is commonly used to prank
your friends and entertainment purposes.
People often use these to practice as well,
for practice papers. People also use theses
just before their GSCE’s and any other exam
so they can practice.
