Included in the Curriculum of CFD and CAD Labs for UG/PG students
For research/consultancy purpose.
Package Name: MEC-02 Desktop Computer

• Desktop Computers: 20
 Required for the CFD lab and ANSYS Software.
High end computers are required due to requirement of minimum 8
GB Ram, 4GB dedicated graphics memory for running the software
Package Name: MEC-03 Heat Transfer Lab

• Plate Type Heat Exchanger

• Thermal Conductivity of insulating Powder Apparatus
Required as per the curriculum of the HT and AHT lab of UG and PG
courses
Package Name: MED-08/ MED-09
• Creep Testing Machine
• Digital Surface Tester
For Material Testing Laboratory and for consultancy
For research purpose at PG/ Ph.D. level
PACKAGE NAME (AS PER PMSS):IC ENGINE RESEARCH LAB (MEC-05)

• There are two Internal Combustion Engine test rigs recommended in the Package.
• These two packages are required for Performing practicals as per the current curriculum Internal
Combustion Engine Laboratory and Thermal Engineering Laboratory proposed in the AICTE Model
Course Curriculum for B.Tech. Mechanical Engineering.
• The equipments are also a part of the M.Tech. Thermal Engineering Practicals in the Advanced I.C.
Engine Laboratory.
• These Engine test rigs will also be used by M.Tech. and Ph.D. scholars for performing various
Performance tests on Engines using different running load conditions using Petro-fuels and Biofuels.
• These can also be used along with smoke meter and gas analyser to perform various emission tests on
conventional liquid fuels and Biofuels.
• Variable Compression Ratio Engine test rig can also be used to perform and analyse performance and
emission tests under Variable compression ratio for various fuels.
• Computerised Multifuel Research Engine test setup can be used with open Electronic Control Unit to
control injection timing, Ignition control, Optimization of performance with ECU Programming and
combustion analysis.
 PACKAGE NAME : IC ENGINE LAB MODELS (MEC-06)

• The Package is required for Illustration of Working of various systems in automobile

engines like Cooling System, Ignition System, Lubrication System, Fuel Supply system
using demonstrative models.

• MPFI Engine test rig will be used as a part of B.Tech. and M.Tech. curriculum in I.C.
Engine Lab for UG/PG students for performance and emission testing in Latest Multi
Point Fuel Injection(MPFI) based Petrol Engines.

• CRDI Diesel Engine test rig will be used as a part of B.Tech. and M.Tech. curriculum in
I.C. Engine Lab for UG/PG students for performance and emission testing in Latest
Common Rail Direct Injection(CRDI) based Petrol Engines.
